Josh Brolin as George W? See It, Believe It
Platon
Director/madman Oliver Stone has started production on the strangest—and possibly coolest—movie of the year, a big-time biopic of President George W. Bush, set for release (maybe) before the November election.
It's called W, it stars Josh Brolin as The Decider, and Entertainment Weekly snagged the low-down by visiting the director of JFK and Nixon on his new flick's Louisiana set.
"Bush may turn out to be the worst president in history," Stone tells EW. "But that doesn't mean he isn't a great story...The fact that he had to overcome the shadow of his father and the weight of his family name—you have to admire his tenacity."
Brolin, hot off No Country for Old Men, is joined by Elizabeth Banks as Laura Bush and—this is awesome—Rob Corddry as Ari Fleisher. Rumored to be in talks are Paul Giamatti as Dick Cheney and Thandie Newton as Condoleezza Rice. EW peeked at the script, too, and describes scenes jumping between Bush's reckless youth—drunken driving, yelling at H.W.—and his reckless presidency.
So what do you think, will W be greeted with flowers and chocolates, or is it a disaster waiting to happen?

America is waiting for the bozo to be replaced. Who'd watch a movie of the biggest idiot ever elected President? NOT ME! I want to forget the last few years not be reminded about it. Besides the moron has ruined the economy, sent thousands of our kids to their death so how can we forget the idiot.

why doesn't anyone make a movie about oliver stone so all of america can see what a hypocrite he is!! he went to cuba to sympathize with a communist leader while his comrades died in vietnam fighting communism!!! what a jerk!! i'll take george bush over stone any day, at least he loves his country..stone, move to cuba or valenzuela or somewhere where people will actually believe your b.s.

George Bush might be the worst president...in what context is Stone saying that in? What a jerk Stone is

It's bad enough I've had to deal with eight years of his Presidency, let alone sit through a movie about him. I think Oliver Stone is making a big mistake filimg this one. If a change comes to the White House in January, no one is going to want to remember "W" except Republicans who by definition love "W" but aren't moviegoers.

Bush, the WORST president? Did someone forget Jimmy 'let-me-single-handedly-destroy-America' Carter? How about Bill 'lets-screw-the-interns-and-let Alan-Greenspan-make-everything-ok' Clinton? You're right Ollie, I'm sure 'Barry' (or is it 'Barrack' now) the illegitimate love child of Jimmy Carter and Lois Farrakhan will do MUCH better. And I'm sure this will be a GREAT movie. Just like your last one... whatever that was.

When are Michael Moore and Oliver Stone finally going to collaborate on a project toggether? Then we can get our dose of fantasy and dementia all in one movie. Who's bringing the hash and the cheeseburgers?

When is Hollywood going to get it? Movies pushing a political view point by the extreme left fail. They always have and they always will. Most of us are not Republicans or Democrats. We are Americans first and foremost and we can't relate to Hollywoods political opinions. We want to be entertained we don't care about your politics!

George Bush is an excellent President. He loves America and has done his best to keep us safe. Which is more than I can say for Jimmy Carter who hates America and Bill Clinton who never kept us safe from Radical Muslims or terrorists.

George bush kept america safe?????????? Theres more people in the world who dont like america then ever before. theres more people who want to hurt us then ever before. america is the most hated country in the world. George bush is the reason. George bush is the worst president america has ever had. and will be remembered as someone who was responsible for the deaths of 700 000 iraqi civilians because he lied about a man who they believed still had the weapons of mass destruction that america gave to them in the early 80s. George bush is one of the worst leaders of of the last 100 years and we have had alot of bad people in power. lenin, starlin, milosevic, reagan, the president of china and iran along with some african and south american leaders the pope at the time of world war 2 who knew about the innocent jews being killed by hitler. oh yeah i forgot hitler. italian president in world war 2 mussolini etc etc etc. i put george w bush right with them. peace.
